On May 31^st the conference titled ÔÇ£The conversion of military brownfield: a territorial opportunityÔÇØ was held at 9 a.m. in the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia compound in Udin (Italy) ÔÇô via Sabbadini 31. The topic of the conference was the re-conversion and re-qualification process┬á of brownfields, in particular the military ones, in order to provide the local administrators with concrate and useful tools to lead the conversion process of their military brownfields.

Fate project partecipated in the annual conference organized by the South East Europe Programme on 12 May 2011 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The annual conference, under the title "A strategic approach towards cooperation in SEE area" aimed to be a key territorial cooperation event in South Eastern Europe.

The project was presented during the afternoon session as case study which exemplify the concrete benefits of the SEE region from the SEE Programme.

The FATE project and its outputs in the region of Drama was presented by the president of the Drama Chamber Mr. Charakis in an event that was organized by the European Parliament representative offices in Greece and Bulgaria respectively.

The event took place on 2 and 3 April 2011 in the border Bulgarian city of Smolyan.

Many officials from local and regional governments from both countries (GR- BG) participated in this event.

Mr. Charakidis and Chamber advisor Mr. Papademetriou presented the project FATE, explaining its objectives, demonstrating the partnership and providing information about outputs and achievements of the project as it is implemented in the border region of Drama.

The fifth Partners Meeting and Steering Committee took place in two partners territories: Osijek (HR) and Subotica (SRB), from  21st to 23rd March 2011. During the three days event the FATE partnership visited Business Incubators, Free Zone and Business Technology Parks in Subotica (SRB), while the Business Incubator - BIOS and the Technology Development Centre and Campus were the targets of the on field visits in Osijek (HR).
